The Graphics Creator Version 8 is here!
Come on over and check it out!

Latest version of the software: Version 7.2.9

( To find out what version you’re currently running, pull down the ABOUT menu inside the app – found under the Help menu on Windows and the Creator menu on your Mac) Download the update to version 7.2.9 (this does not contain any templates. Just the App! ? ) Free update for all users of version 6.8, 7.0 and 7.2

Version 7.2.9 Update

Changes in TLC 7.2.9
(this update also contains all previous updates for version 7.x.)

• This update also includes the v7.2.8 update.
(internally, we created version 7.2.8 and then updated once more to v7.2.9)

• This update fixes a bug that was found in version 7.2.7 with the ‘eCover Creator’ mechanism. (When a user dragged an image onto an eCover, the image distorted).
This has now been fixed with this update.

•7.2.8 update also increased the speed of the ‘home screen’ … the page that is seen when you first launch The Creator app.

Version 7.2.7 Update

Changes in TLC 7.2.7
(this update also contains all previous updates for version 7.x.)

• Mac Sierra users: You can once again drag and drop images from the top area onto the canvas! AND, there is no more “rubber band effect” as you’re moving elements around the canvas. Mac users can be happy again  ?

• Changed maximum canvas size to 3300 x 3300. The Creator’s Canvas is now big enough to allow a design for tShirt Creation or maybe labels!

• Speed improvements and other minor back end fixes

Version 7.2.6 Update

Changes in TLC 7.2.6
(this update also contains all previous updates for version 7.x.)

• Changed maximum canvas size to 2880 x 3300. This is now equivalent to an 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of paper. (this may open the door to creating flyers and other similar graphics)

• Canvas can now be resized if scale is less than 100%.

• Elements can now be deleted after text editing.

• Text flips (vertical and horizontal) now initialize correctly.

• Mac OS Sierra users: Drag drop of existing elements onto the canvas works the same as with earlier versions of Mac OS, except there is an irksome snapback of the drag proxy.

• Mac OS Sierra users: Drag drop from Elements Panel onto the Desktop can now be accomplished with a Double-Click on the element setter graphics. All other users (anybody who is not on Mac Sierra) will continue working as before.

• Empty Logo Elements folder is now created at app launch if no ‘elements’ folder was previously detected (This is mainly for users who have never installed any previous version of The Creator on their system)

Version 7.2.3 Update

Changes in TLC 7.2.3
(this update also contains all previous updates for version 7.x.)

• Created an alert system that alerts your software if there is an update and points the ‘OKAY’ button to this update page

• Eliminated multiple “My Template” listings when using the ‘Select Templates’ dropdown menu.

• Fixed a bug when choosing “Save to My Templates” – ‘Don’t Save’ now works correctly.

• “Embedded browser” (the screen that you see when you first launch the software) can now open links in your own default web browser.

• Fixed a bug caused by empty ‘My Templates’ folder that mucked things up during certain circumstances.

Version 7.2.2 Update

Changes in TLC 7.2.2

Back end updates. Merged these updates into version 7.2.3

Version 7.2.1 Update

Changes in TLC 7.2.1

• Mandatory update! (really. update to this version)

• Delete key on opening screen no longer causes app freeze.

• Delete key in text fields no longer causes selected element to be deleted.

• Disappearing My Templates folder error fixed.

• First template created in My Templates folder is properly initialized as untitled.

Bug Fixes and Improvements:

Image Rotation Bug.
In previous versions, if you rotated a large graphic that you imported, the graphic distorts.
This was a pretty big problem but it’s now … fixed!  ?

The disappearing ‘My Templates’ folder
Also a pretty big issue. On certain computers, saving a template sometimes caused the entire set of My Templates to evaporate!  ?  – This has been fixed. For good.

The Opening Browser Window
You know that splash screen that appears when you launch the software? Some links you click on will now open in your own browser so you don’t miss any info or videos and you can still play with the software!

Small Icons
The little Facebook icon at the very top right of the software now opens to our Laughingbird group on Facebook (rather than the Facebook business page). Facebook has made it hard to ask questions on Facebook pages – but asking questions in the Group is much easier

Format Canvas
The “FORMAT CANVAS” button (that allows you to resize the canvas or change the background color) is now easily accessible from the left panel rather than kind of hidden in the menu

“Sticky” open and save folders!
Yes! Finally, when you want to import a graphic, you can now open any folder to import it … and the next time you want to import, this same folder will open by default. Same goes for saving.

Save a version is now “Save as..”
Previous version allowed you to save a template you were working on to your desktop. This menu option now says “Save as… ” instead of “Save a Version…”

Save / Don’t Save
The save dialog for saving templates now switches the “Save and “Don’t Save” buttons.

Undo / Redo Bug fix
Previously, hitting the Undo button multiple times lost some of the fine details (like outline sizing). this is fixed.

Have fun with it all!
