Menu work box disappears

Hello, i upgraded today to the latest version of the creator 7 from creator v6.8 as the menu area to the left started to disappear every time i 

clicked in the work area. Upgrading to the latest version still not fix the issue and i have a screenshot attached of what i mean. If you look to the left of 

the screenshot there is no "menu box" to be able to edit the work area.

That is very strange. I haven't heard of that issue since the 7 was released. You might want to start with making sure your Adobe Air is up to date. Have you done a cold re-boot since installing the update? Did you move or delete V6.8 before downloading and installing the update? What format is your OS?

hello, thanks for the getting back to me. I did not uninstall the old version but since have and its still the same issue. I checked for adobe air and installed the latest version but still the same. i also done reboot after installing and still the same. i have a windows 10, 64bit operating system x64 based processor.

The V6.8 had to stay, it is the content files. The V7 is just program files...no content. You could delete the icon but not uninstall. You should use your backup files or delete the Laughingbird Document folder and use your members account to get a fresh download. The same is true for the V6.8 to V7 update.

hello, i have uninstalled original version as I mentioned above, so it looks like the best way to proceed, is to get a fresh copy and then upgrade, is this correct? I tried to get into the member's area earlier but could not do so as its been a while since i last logged in. However, i forgot my password and the password retrieval is not being delivered to my mailbox. how can i proceed from here, thanks again for all your help :-) Lawrence

Sounds like you aren't in the newer members list....which was setup March of 2015. No back purchases were entered so that the reason for the request....... Go to back to the members page and send an email (use question mark icon)for membership and any receipt that you have. Mention you need a fresh download .You will receive an email back with an assigned password.

hi thanks, but unfortunately i dont have my receipt as i cleared over 15,000 emails out of gmail boxes just last week and i am sure that it would have been in it :-(

Send an email with the email address that you would have used. Marc, will have to do a search and maybe able to locate you so you could get all your purchases to re-download.There is a download available for The Creator but it is a limited demo on dowloads.com

You could just purchase one of the new editions and be made whole again. Being TC 8 is off in the near future you might want to be ready.

Hello, it has started to work again? I  created a new image over selecting the one with issues that I was working on, and it worked ok. I am not sure if this is a remedy for the future or not though. I may be better deleting everything and starting again with the limited download to ensure everything works in future. 

 

My email I believe was *******@gmail.com or ******@gmail.com . i also purchased the 3d characters and FB templates i think .

 You need to establish a members account through the member pages.Put in a request for member account and  provide Marc with email addresses and sales transaction information.

You will be sent an email to the address with a password assigned to it.

 

I removed your email information so that spambots would not pick up your address. Printing dot in the name use to prevent issues but I don't know if that is still true.So I opted to remove the gmail ID names.
