I am trying to come up with a fun logo for our Recreational Youth Soccer League.

    Any help would be great.

The League is: Grant County Youth Soccer. (we go by GCYS) and our website is www.gcys-soccer.com, and use the tagline, "where it all begins".

Our current logo is pretty boring. It has been in place since the organization started many years ago and we are wanting to revamp it.

Do you own the Logo Creator? Have you tried creating something? If so, share with us what you got....it may be better than you think.

We are happy with the site and are not looking to change that. We are a non-profit organization with all volunteers doing the jobs.

Our current logo on our jerseys is simply a soccer ball with the words Grant County Youth Soccer around the ball.

We were trying to get something a little more, I guess you would say fun or eye catching. We would like to start selling spirit wear for our parents, but don't want to use the boring logo we have now.

If you're wanting to sell this, I suggest investing in an established local graphic artist and pay to have the work done. You'll get what you need, with someone locally that can make changes, supply the right files for print/embroidery and be available when you need them.

BTW, be careful in how you sell this, because your non-profit status could be jeopardized. I'm heavily involved in our local soccer organization, so I know some of the pain you feel in being non-profit.

I was getting more at the logo will be probably over power the site if it has that 2.0 or 3d feel. I've reviewed your site and Joomla might be worth taking a look at if you ever consider revising the look. I see a lot of great content, but the way its displayed is a bit difficult to follow or read. Joomla could take your site to another level and give it that fun, updated look.

    Good luck on your logo!
    Ryan.

amcrimmins, Youth soccer programs are great - thanks for volunteering. I see you joined the forum a couple years ago, thanks for visiting again, if it's been awhile. Do you have any color ideas for the logo or particularly the font?

Right now we do not have a specific color scheme or font in mind. We just began looking into a new design. We want something that will look great on our soccer jerseys.

The logo is placed on the upper left breast side of the shirt.

We (as in the board members) even discussed having a design contest for the community. But we weren't sure how that would really turn out.

I think you would get a good turn out if you ran a contest. I wish you luck and if I have some spare time I will try and throw together an idea for you.
