    I own TLC 2.5.
I want to make sure my logos blend with other page graphics. Is there a way I can do this?

    Thanks.

Yes, you must "export" and choose a transparent file format.

    Thanks. Not clear.
What do you mean choose a transparent file format?
Could you give me an example please?

    Thanks.

If it is the true old TLC V2.5 you start the export process, the screen will have a drop down menu in which you were you choose your file format for your export choose either .Tpng or .Tgif (using the dropper to remove the background.) If you are using The Flash Ad creator updated to 2.5 then your TLC version would be 5.1.

Another option is if the area you are going to place the logo is one specific color, you can set the background color in the logo you are creating/editing to the color you are going to place the logo on your website.

I have saved a .gif logo with an #FFFFFF background and it does not match my website which has the same background. Saving as a .gif with transparent background seems to make it even worse. Any suggestions?

#FFFFFF means you created a white & NOT a transparent background.
I dont know whether your Logo Creator is very different from the Flash Ad Creator.

On the FAC interface, you have the "Export" option, with which you determine which format you want your graphic to be saved in.

If you want to have a "neutral" background, i.e. transparent, allowing you to place it on any background, you must be having the option to export it as a transparent image.

In FAC I have 2 options, either directly select under "Export" =>

    PNG - Transparent
    or
    GIF - Transparent

    OR

Under "Export" => "More export options"

    the options

    "TranspGIF" & "TranspPNG"

One of those will get your background converted to transparent in the process of exporting.

The wording/terms used may be a bit different, but that is the general direction.

    Regards
