    Hello All,

I just started using TLC and I love it. However, I just exported a logo in PNG, JPG, and GIF, but when I go to open them with another program they aren't listed.

Does anyone know why this is, and what I can do to correct it?

    Thank you all in advance.

    Mike

I have tried both Photoshop CS2, and Fireworks 8. I am trying to post it on a site by browsing, but it doesn't come up that way either.

Hey Mike. What operating system are you using and which version of TLC? When you say they aren't "listed", are you getting an error when trying to open them or do they not open at all? Thanks.

I am using v5. OpSys is XP. What I am doing is: Click on export tab, click on png-jpg-gif, and saving the file.

This is a crazy one. I can not get this problem to happen on my copy.

Does your screen have the same window as mine in the screenshot below?

After you export, say the png file, what program icon does the file show attached to it. What program is associated with viewing your graphics files? And is there just a blank image instead of your logo?

Could you answer these questions please. Also can you view the files say using windows image viewer or are they not viewable with anything?

OK thanks. I am still looking around here to try and get this figured out.

Ok. I don't see them under image viewer. They come up in the open menu for TLC and Adobe ImageReady. I can save them as a psd through that, but then I go to Photoshop and the psd file isn't there. I'm really confused. They are listing in the open menu as Adobe files.

Hmm I am not sure why you are having problem with PS. So they are showing up fine as PNG, JPEG, or GIF files after export from TLC. They are just not showing up after you save them as PSD files with PS? Am I correct with this?

No. Following export they can only be found in ImageReady and nothing else, but TLC. I tried saving as a psd and re-opening in PS, but it isn't found.

try adding the extention to the back of the image... What version are you using? What is the filename? Any spaces in it?

Version 5. No spaces in file name. I'll give it a try. mwpsamp is the file name, and has been exported (saved) as a .png, .jpg, and .gif.

I have come across a similar problem before, when you export the logo are you also adding the file extension logo.jpg mydesign.png etc etc I know a lot of programs add the extension automatically but TLC does not.

Did you receive any Adobe updates recently? or are they set to automatically update? I'm thinking something with Adobe might be causing this. May be a matter of reinstalling one program. Hmmm...will keep checking.

    Lamo,

I have checked under all file formats, all readable files, and each extension. They just aren't listing for some strange reason.

Awalck, I will check for updates.
