1. New Software Notice alert!

The new Web Graphics Creator (version 4.0) will be out soon.

For now, version 3.0 is still active and works great on most Windows machines. It no longer runs on Macs using Lion or greater... (but the new version will fix this)

So hang in there! It's almost done!

    G'day folks,

Sorry my first post is one of support. I have purchased 3 of LaughingBird Software products this last week, the sale's pages exceptional, and so is the software all working like a treat.

I just purchased Web Creator but cannot find a Serial Number!!! In fact there isn't one. Anyone know the mystery of getting the one month subs to PhoroObjects? There is no serial number in my email only what is shown below.

The Web Graphics Creator Download ----------------------------------------------- Not Available XXXX XXXX (all Caps)
This Serial Number can be used for the free 1 month subscription to PhotoObjects.net
More information can be found here: http://www.webgraphicscreator.com/PhotoObjects.html

    Cheers - Rod

Well I guess if you gotta make a first post, It might as well be a good one :D and yours is....However I have some bad news for you, Laughingbird isnt working with Photo Objects anymore I think because of the issue of them not giving out good keys for their service.
    read this post: http://www.logodesignforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8062&page=2&highlight=photo+objects

There are a lot ( and I mean A LOT ! of posts ) concerning this issue with the keys, You might want to PM laughingbird and discuss this issue with him in further detail, or KD-did ( The Forum authority ) will surely be along and give better input on this issue as she too is very fimiliar with this delima and the outcome of it all...So dont despair yet! You will hear something real soon :)

Okay no PhotoObjects. A pity I was banking on the "clean edge" images. Need more for my clients. Perhaps this advertising needs to be removed from the website otherwise this could damage LaughingBird's reputation. It is misleading advertising at least from where I am sitting.

    Problem solving- New Idea:

Why not have our own Photo Objects with graphic images supplied by the registered users of Web Graphics Software. Buy this software and you get free access to LaughingBird's Image stock.

Or LaughingBird collects its own stock of images and we pay a nominal yearly or life membership fee.

What ever the answer, something like this needs to be implemented to keep abreast of Adobe support they offer their customers.

For example I bought Adobe's Light Room and from their private support sites I have downloads 30 odd presets and umpteen training videos, which are all free.

Got to have exceptional support, that may well be run by other people, besides LaughingBird owner/s.

In less than one hour I have produced an ebook cover using my own images, a business card I needed in a hurry and nearly finished a logo for a new client's website. You just cannot do all that with Adobe Photoshop or Elements in this time frame, well I can't anyway.

    Just some thoughts...

Rod, that is a REALLY great idea and a BIG welcome to the forum.

While 30 days is free is a nice introduction to the world of photo objects their 1 year subscription is a little too pricey IMHO. To control expenses try looking at http://www.bigstockphoto.com , http://www.stockexpert.com and http://www.123rf.com and http://www.inzones.com/picturezone/index.htm .

There are many FREE images shared here in the forum.

Here is a thread for making customized glass image orbs using TLC/ WGC Art center.

And last but not least you can always ask for help in locating a desired image here in the forum.

I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for my prep work and to support my TLC habit.

    Hi Rod...

    Excellent post.
I'd love to see the images you've created with the software when you have time to show them.

I'm working to update the PhotoObjects issue. We've had a breakthrough and JupiterMedia (the owners of PhotoObjects.net) have provided more keys for me. Since I have not taken down the advertising - please see a PM from me. I'll take care of you, and I'll be populating the PhotoObjects-key database for the Web Graphics Creator shortly.

Great idea on the library you mention above.
    I'll give this some thought!

Thank you all for the welcome. Not often you get a greeting like this on forums. I am still busy hammering my software purchases, no freezing, no oddities just some nice finished results.

The like the angles, swirls, twists and turns that can be done. I couldn't wait to get up this morning to try my hand at some new graphic styles.

When I get some images created that can be shared I'll post back.

    Cheers - Rod
