Can the logo creator work with PNG files created with Adobe Fireworks?
Good afternoon Rick,
Absolutely, importing a .png file is the same process as any of the supported image files.... Sign on up!!! Becoming an addict :)
I am already signed up. May use the Logo Creator for Joomla Templates!
Joomla is a great tool.. I've just started playing around with it recently... Be sure to post some of your handy-work, once you get it up and going...
I am just learning about Joomla. Have the Joomla demo site setup in my account with HostGator.
Thanks for posting Rick.
Welcome to the forum...
I'm also working with Joomla.
It's an incredible tool. I've been coding all of my websites the old fashioned way ... I'll be converting them all to Joomla over the next few weeks.
I've discovered a GREAT Joomla template company (yootheme.com). Check out the site I'm creating (playing around with while learning actually) for my new Laughingbirdsoftware site:
That's coming together nicely... I've been looking for a stronger template site, other than joomla's. I'll check this out.
I too will be developing my template re-design site in joomla. Wasn't sure at first, but now that I've seen just a bit of what's possible, I think i'll continue on that route....
Hmmm... I am not sure if I communicated this clearly. The PNG files that I am talking about have "layers", "slices" and "text boxes" within. Will the Logo Creator recognize these individual elements?
Thanks again for the help and feedback! :image28:
I don't believe the software is designed to handle layers individually. I do know when it is exported from LC, it condenses all layers into a flattened image... you may wait for a response from marc to confirm...
No, The Logo Creator will only read in a flattened PNG file. No layers. If you import each layer separately, you can manipulate each element ...
sample .PNG file to try
Attached is a .PNG file I was hoping to be able to use in the Logo Creator.
When I load it ...Logo Creator gives an error message. :image10:
Anyway to work with it??
the image loads just fine for me... however, according to marc's earlier post, if you want to manipulate each layer of the file, you will have to save each layer seperately in fireworks, or batch it, if i remember right...
Then import each file into the LB Software... Make sure you are creating a new image first, then selecting import...
Let me know if this helps... if not, send the direct link to the fireworks file and i'll try it.
Go hostgator :image28:
