    Hi there,

I've had some strange behavior fro a while....

My documents folder is in the same C drive as program installed on.

I do have multiple versions (6, un-numbered, and 6.8) of Logo Creator on this computer (Win 7 - 64bit)

1st symptom, when I try and open a previously saved template I get a message [Unable to open you probably selected a folder that is not a template folder]. If I go 'over' 2 thumbs from the one I want to open it opens the correct one?

Also I can't seem to export more than once, from the same logo. Nothing happens after the first time?

    Any ideas?

Obviously it would be a good idea th just have V6.8 on my PC!

Launch TLC first and then try opening template.

    Hi KD,

That's what I'm doing. I wasn't aware of any other way to attempt to open a template?

I tried to export to a different location, is that the issue?

    Adding a image...

Did you export to your desktop?

Usually templates in the template save folder are easy to open. What format are you?

No I exported to a different drive completely.
Not sure I know where the save folder is...although I took a screenshot see my previous post for what I guess contains the default save folder? In my docs..

You should see the folder that you name when setting up V6.... Move it back to same drive as installed Laughingbird Documents folder is on. ...and see if odd behavior stops.

There is a folder called working templates under the Templates section you might check.

I cured the odd opening behavior. I had a couple of folders in the Template folder that had spaces in front of the folder name. I removed the spaces/deleted them and copied/pasted without the leading spaces. Problem solved

I don't know how to locate that folder from within the program?

PS I do have a folder named Mascots2 that is in multiple places and I can never open it for some reason. Is it still a valid addon?

OK some weird behavior now...all my standard templates (not my saved ones) have disapeared?
I think its time to reinstall TLC and start from scratch....

Check for any DS_STORE files and DELETE them if you are a Windows user. The Mascots folder could have held a DS_STORE FILE work.jpg The work folder is in the templates area of LAUGHINGBIRD DOCUMENTS folder

The Mascots should only be in the ELEMENTS folder. There is no templates...

Mascots2 might contain the DS_STORE file that needs to be deleted if you a WINDOW user.

    I need to reboot.

Two things you might look at ... watch this video:

Then look through this help file. As KD-did already said, delete the .DS_Store files!

Glad it's working for you. Be sure to look around the forum some. There are a few posts with free graphics and links to graphics that can be used with TLC. Good luck and check back if you need anything.
