I am thinking the font is a little under weight. I would suggest widening the text arcs radius.

    OK too funny!!

Yeah, I get the idea . . . I did try and 'widen' the arc, but it turned into to much of a hassle. Just couldn't get it the way I wanted. I will play with the font a bit. I'd like to keep it in the 'oval' of the logo with out making it look 'too busy'. I'm not going to be using that logo for a month or so, I think, as I'm waiting on a software update first. So I've got a little time to play with it.

    Thanks for the ideas though!

I found that working with the text first worked better than try making the text fit to a shape. Give that a try.

Another trick that helps is do the text export it as a transparent image and size it when importing it. It makes it easier to get the oval and text fitting better.

Try with this....add the oval at the end for sizing and coloring. Magic text.png

Looks nice! But I've run into another snag ... seems the logo needs to look good at a SMALL size... 229 x 50
Yea, I'm still looking into that!

That's actually pretty legible. I'll keep this in mind when I get to work on it. Thanks!

You could use just the monkey's head in 1 solid color and use just initials M M G.Sort of like

Another thing you might want to play with is spelling graphics...grafx or graf x. Fewer letters is sometimes easier to work with.
