1. New Software Notice alert!

    The new Web Graphics Creator (version 4.0) will be out soon.

    For now, version 3.0 is still active and works great on most Windows machines. It no longer runs on Macs using Lion or greater... (but the new version will fix this)

    So hang in there! It's almost done!

Mapping your images "FitToBox"

    Trophy Points:
    Many users have asked how to "map" an image to the full box width and height. Currently, the 'default' is to fit the image proportionately.

    You can change this - if you want to try tinkering with the mechanics.
    Otherwise, a new update WILL be available soon.

    Inside The eCover Creator folder (most likely residing in your Program Files folder, or Applications folder), you'll find another folder called "Resources".

    Inside this folder, look for: "w3dMedia"

    This is the key to "mapping" the images to your covers.
    You'll see some .xml files. You can right click them and open them in Word pad or Text Edit... or, if you know HTML, you can open them in a program like Dreamweaver.

    You'll find each eBook/software box listed here. Look for the command that says "#FitInto"

    You can change this small tag to:

    #scaleToFit (-> distort image), #fitInto, #fitwidth or #fitheight

    Save the XML file, then try mapping the image again.
