    Hi everyone,

My name is Dan Kowcun and I run a youth centre, The Deck, for at-risk teens in St. Catharines, Ontario. A friend of mine, Rob Kmet, and I are pushing a mid sized vehicle around 3500 lbs for 60 miles in a 24 hour period on July 3/4, 2009. The current Guinness World Record is only 50.3 miles. Yep, I'm crazy. We are hoping to create awareness for The Deck and our programs within southern Ontario.

We need a logo! I'm trying to make one with this program but have little time to make it happen. We are in the process of putting together our sponsor packages and are in need of a logo fairly soon. I know making a good logo is not easy and requires a lot of time and effort. Any help or suggestions would be great!

Thanks for listening and I'm looking forward to your help!

I am not familiar with your program. Would "Pushing for Change" be relevant to what you guys are doing?

Are you fellows out to officially break Guinness World Record? "Pushing the Challenge" comes to mind .

"Pushing for Change" sounds good and so does the other one. Ya, we are planning on breaking the existing record (50.3 miles). My partner had the record in 2005 and 2006 (different partners).

Dan, Welcome to the forum! Nice website and center by the way. I wish you great success with this endeavor!

KD & Wicked I like your slogans! Here's a logo concept to get things rolling... (Thought I'd do a web version too)

Great minds think alike, they say. Whoever "they" are. :) Nice work KD. And I agree Wicked, it's about 5 degrees this morning and I'm just not use to that. Hey, I'm going to try and put wheels on my 'push'.... later.

Some great ideas there! I do like the red and black colors since that is what
our logo uses for The Deck.

The color choice was by design after visiting yfcniagara.com. Short list of alternative names with perhaps a little more "ring" to them.
Pain 4 Gain, Pain 2 gain, Challenge the Risk, Miles 4 Smiles, Miles of Smiles, Deck the Risk or Miles 4 Deck.

KD, I liked the Pain 4 Gain one, so I tried that out. (You are just so clever) :image07:I also couldn't resist making a different car. Sort of, a t-shirt design. anyway... it's been fun. I wasn't sure what part should be what color. I'm open for suggestions.

Thanks to everyone here for all their work on this logo! Allen, you made exactly what I wanted (simple/clean look) and for that I am very grateful. Thanks again.

Dan, thanks for taking the time to post this.
    Glad to hear you're happy.

    Allen; NICELY done!
    Clean design.

... I'm looking for a better forum preview tool.
Currently, the attachments here in the forum are rendered in a very low jpeg quality. I want to display them at their full potential.

Sorry, went off on a tangent. :)

    Love the logo Allen.
