Have just upgraded to V.7 still playing around with. Having trouble dragging and dropping pictures from my desktop to a template. Other than that, all is well.

    :a hello:
How exactly are you having trouble. You know you can always "color" with an image/photo too.

In the new version, it shows dragging a picture from your desktop and dropping it on a canvas. I try that and it just covers up the text image with garbage??? Maybe you can only drag over background type images??? Thanks, Mike

You are talking text you created and not from a template that might be an image of fonts? What file format is the image?

Why is there a jpg attached to the text? Is it an import?

the jpg is an image file and the drag drop feature won't work with it.

Try and retype the text and then do the drag and drop.

It is a jpg picture extension not the text.

"Yea text I created. jpg." I am sorry but that has me confused. How did that jpg end up in that sentence?

I am asking if you wrote the text and you are not trying to color a jpg it with the drag and drop.

I deleted the text from a template text box, put my own text in it and tried to drag a picture from my desktop like Marc shows doing in one of his videos. What I am trying to do is drag a picture from my desktop and put it on the canvas. I know you can copy and paste but he shows doing it using drag and drop.

What file format is it and is the image perhaps too big or too little? Also is there any characters in the file name that aren't a number or a letter...like #, &, underscore or dash?

If you are trying to drag a picture from your desktop and drop it on the canvas, that does not work! Ever. You need to use the menu options to Import a .jpg or .png to the template.

What Marc was showing in the video was dragging and dropping a photo from the desktop into the 'TEXT'. If you type text in your template, then you can drag a photo from the desktop and drop it 'into the text' instead of making the text a specific color.

Any other image you want to add to the template, from your desktop or the cloud, needs to be 'imported'. Just go to the File menu and select the option 'Import JPG or PNG'. If you are replacing an image then select that image then use the menu option 'Import PNG or JPG and Replace Selected Image'.
