    Hi guys & gals,

I've just picked up another project. It involves a husband and wife team who runs a real estate and mortgage venture in Florida. The name of the company is solely web-based and they have a catchy name... goldtosoldusa.

The idea is that the husband loans the "gold", or mortgage money, and then the wife turns it to "sold", on the real estate side. They've had some trouble coming up with a logo. They're looking for options. I told them I know a few guys and gals that might have some great ideas... ( LoL, only a few...) If you've got ideas, please post away. This is another project that has earning potential, haven't negotiated anything yet, as they are friends. But as always, I'm sure it'll be something.

    Look forward to your thoughts...

I'll get the ball rolling with this submittal. Probably the first comment will be to lose the shadow around the gold coins. I'm looking forward to what some of the other guys will follow up with. I always lean toward the simplest solutions, a habit that is hard to break.

P.S. Sorry, I can't upload the file. It's too large. Will try again later.

    Hey Olden,

I don't see any gold coins, have they been removed already? am I at the correct site? if I am at the correct site www.goldtosoldusa.com ...then I don't see much room at the top banner area for a logo, or for much else.

Homesight, if they make room, what size would they like? Have you asked them, showing them basic/typical banner sizes to choose from? (shown below) I use these examples to show clients to help them get an idea of what websites are (typically) using.

The banner can be whatever size... i'm interested in seeing logo options, then we can roll over to a banner. That site is going by the wayside. I'm doing the web design for them on a new site.

I did not do the original work you see. The color scheme probably will stay, as it obviously makes sense.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

This just hasn't been my day. O.K., I'm going to try again to upload the GOLD2SOLD logo. Hope it works this time around.
    Olden

Well, it appears that it worked this time. Your comments are invited.

Well, I'm having 'creativity block' on this one. It's a difficult one to sum up. Anyway, here's my first idea...

    good morning gang,
Cybr I liked the medal idea, so I made a coin. (I'll certainly share the gold with you should it woo someone.)

I couldn't decide what color to make the "TO", so I tried both. Any suggestions? Anyway... busy day ahead. Later.

These are great ideas... I know it is extremely tough.

I can tell why they've had trouble with the logo... I like the coin effect and awalck, I'm cracking up at yours. I like it, even though it makes me think of a presidential campaign sign... Top- I did not do the website they currently have; i think its more a profile page then a website.

Olden, not sure about yours yet. I'll forward to them for review.

    Ryan.

O.K., one last stab at this thing. I noticed that there are a lot of images that are not used in the LB Creator, so I picked up on one that I think was more "commercially oriented," so to speak and I fought the urge to make GOLD ad SOLD as part of the graphic element. Instead, I put it below the graphic and let the design elements speak to the site title. Anyway, I had fun experimenting with this job as it was a challenge to come up with a segue from the "gold" to the "sold".
    Olden

P.S. For some reason, the "Gold to Sold" isn't as strong in this thumbnail as it is on the original. I suppose it lost some punch in the resize.

It's just above your last post. I had to fool around with the "Gold to Sold" verbiage, but it just didn't come across.
    C'est la vie!

Olden, I have am aversion to photos in logos.
I also think your font is to light to carry the message...........
