I'm trying to produce some high res slides at 1080p, but I've been unsuccessful at setting the width of the canvas past 1873px by dragging the canvas around and resizing (default if you try typing in a value reverts back to 1440). Any suggestions?

If you really want to you have to use version 6.0 or earlier. In those versions the max size is 2880 x 2880. The size limitation in 6.6 and 6.8 is 1440 x 1440. I used to be able to make templates bigger than 1440 x 1440 in version 6.0 then use them in version 6.8, but that ability appears to now be gone.

By making slides at "1080p" I assume you are working on something that will display on a LCD screen. Images can pretty much have a screen resolution of 75 PPI, and still look fine on a monitor.

Just because you are working on something that will display on a hd screen, doesn't mean your images have to be at the same resolution (1920 x 1080).... you might want to make sure you use the correct aspect ratio of 16:9.

1280 x 720 is an aspect ratio of 16:9--- which is what you should be working with, and is in fact the same 16:9 aspect ration as 1920 x 1080.
