I have logocreator, corporate identity etc but have little time to put together a "Corporate Identity" that i now need for business cards, stationary etc. as the business is beginning to grow.

I need it to be made so that it does fit in with my current site www . insure - your -mobile. co. uk and this could mean me replacing the top banner/logo on the site to make it all conform to the same design. Does anyone care to help and throw some ideas about?
    Thanks!

    Idea #1

Try going with the theme you got now in your header banner. Continue it with "characterizing" the thief with a cell phone in a way that conveys your product/service.

There are many talented artists here to help design and incorporate a character for you.

Sorry 3DS, I'm going to have to disagree with keeping the 'character'. (You are right though, there are a lot of talented artists on the forum.)

I would say you need a logo, a color scheme, and possibly a tagline (not always necesary though) to develop YOUR brand. Think Nike, Target, and what the other big boys are doing. The dangerous side to using a mobile phone in your identity is that technology changes quickly and you don't want to get stuck with a logo/identity that is outdated or 'old' looking in literally just a few months. I would definitetly avoid a cartoon looking logo/brand - I wouldn't want anything insured by a company representing that. Just my thought. I'm passionate about companies find their brand identity and then being consistent with it. I'm not saying the 'big boys' are always right, but a lot of them have the brand/identity thing right. Please let me know if I can help in any way. By the way, green and black isn't too bad, but I'm sure this group will be quick to offer suggestions. Welcome to the forum hiveuk.

Another Joomla user :) Look out world!

I'll take a look at the mobile site and get back to you... I use to run a mobile company here in town.

What about a Joomla template designed with "mobile phones" in mind?

    quick to reply

Thanks for the quick responses. I basically need the artwork for the stationary(business cards, letterheads etc) but would consider changing the logo of the web site to keep that familiarity. I dont really want to change the joomla template. I know it hits you in the face when you first see the web site but that is what i want. When people are browsing, most sites seem all the same, dull & boring. This one wakes you up!
    What do others think?
I think i also agree to the earlier comment about not having cartoon charachter style images. This is serious stuff.
It would be great to get some ideas flowing.

I don't think its the idea that it "hits" you in the face, as much as the loss of impact the wording has with your bright color scheme. It immediately says to me, "just another advertisement". But, a lot of sites are starting to have that look. I subscribe to about 10 of em, so I know :) If you're selling a product that is serious business, think about toning it down just a bit, make those words stand out. Just an opinion. I may have some images for you to look at it.

    good review

Thanks for the thoughts on the site. It is always difficult to know from which angle to go for your customer base. You could be right with the thought of toning it down, but is the brightness not the appeal? What made you subscribe to sites like these? It would be interesting to know other peoples first impressions. I would be grateful for any images you may have. Maybe you could pm me.

Are you getting a decent amount of traffic, or do you see a lot visitors bounce off your front page. Rather than guess at what's going on, look at your statistics... That'll tell you for sure. I specialize in web analysis and site management for a large international insurance company in the States.

I'll round up some nice images for you.

Interesting point....I have google analytics and see that alot of people go within a short space of time but not immediately. Maybe you could send me a few pointers (PM) on where i am going wrong together with any images. By the way, this forum is extremely helpful, or should i say the members are. Nice to see nowadays!
    Thanks

Ok, i've reviewed it again. What i'm seeing is a bit of confusion. I use to run a communications store and i'm lost... I see you offer A LOT of items. Joomla has the ability to display that submenu on the left, but i'd consider putting different information there. Either that, or subcategorized those topics... ie, mobile phone insurance should incorporate all of the phones you offer insurance on... I'd go bigger on you carrier graphics as well, maybe not in a line, but spaced out diagonally over a couple of lines... if Lamo's helping you, he'll know what I mean. I really like what you're trying to do, but i think clearing up the slight confusion might go along way.
