1. New Software Notice alert!

The new Web Graphics Creator (version 4.0) will be out soon.

For now, version 3.0 is still active and works great on most Windows machines. It no longer runs on Macs using Lion or greater... (but the new version will fix this)

So hang in there! It's almost done!

richinri, it's not you. I cant get it to work to save my life. Marc is trying to figure out what the problem is. Some people are experiencing it while others are not. Post your specs and lets compare. Maybe we can figure out whats causing the error.

    Flip book demo error

Well, I am using IE6 and WinXP SP2. I am wondering if it has to do with the new way you have to load SWF files in IE to avoid the "click to activate control" issue.

    Hi Rich.

Can you point me to the Flip book you've posted?
    I want to see it.

The Flip book you see on the home page: http://www.webgraphicscreator.com is working. I want to see what's different about yours.

Hope to hear from you shortly!

    - Marc

It depends on what day it is :banasplit

The preview option works when I leave firefox on in the background. But it still wont show up in a webpage, yet.

    Flip Book

It's working for me, but it doesn't seem to be flipping the pages as smooth as I have used on other web pages. It's very difficult to make the page I am flipping fall into its alignment enough to be able to flip the next page.

But it's probably an error between the mouse & the chair...it is early :hotcoffee

It works for me most of the time if I click and drag on a page it flips the page ok, I can repeat this several times then all of a sudden it does not 'release' the page and I have to click a second time.

Make sure you have "Click to Flip" turned on in the preferences. If your trying to drag the corner page to the middle to turn it over, that takes some practice :)

    issues

Well tonight I could get the flipbook demo to work on the webgraphics creator website if I carefully manipulated the mouse and clicked at exactly the right time. But the graphics were cut off so one couldn't really read anything useful. And the technique to flip is so awkward that, at least this way, it is NOT anywhere near practical to post on a web site. It would cause more confusion and frustration than render anything usefull to a reader. I do think it is a great idea though.

Yeah, you really need to use the click feature to turn the page. That is if i could ever use it. I can't run my business with this software. I was going to use it to display pictures of houses, but it fails about 3/4 of the time. They've got to find out where the bug is that makes it crash. How'd it get released is the question I 'd like to know. Buggy as can be for PC users. I'm betting there are people who haven't tried that module out just yet and have no clue its not working properly.

    MARC---> Where's the fix ???? We're dying out here :(

    Dissappointed

I have been allowing Laughingbird newletters to trickle into my email box for years now and never have bought anything that i can remember. I've always thought the entire business concept and logo possibilities where good and i may use them someday. The whole look and feel and trickly little graphics have been intriguing ... but I never saw the need to purchase it professionally ... that is until I saw the Flipbook. Having an immediate need for a client, I committed to it, got the credit card out and blindly "took a leap of faith". BAD MISTAKE. As cool as the smooth little corner animations started out ... there is definately something buggy going on! I should have known when the animation didnt play on their own sales page. When creating my own flipbook ... for the life of me, I cant get the things to turn even when choosing "Flip on Click". If for some random reason i can finally grab a corner and somehow get it to turn...the pages are cut in half! I have left totally frustrated! ... it's like a rubic cube puzzle ... and I give up.
Cmon guys ... I know i jumped in on this only minutes after your email came (shame on me) ....but a little help here .. or give me my money back Please.

Maybe if we all presure Laughingbird on this issue, they will address this problem immediately and work night and day to remedy the situation. But from the looks of the dates on some of these posts .. that aint happenin.

    Hello Bhetzman.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles.

Can you point me to the Flipbook you've created?

The "flip on click" option should allow you (and your visitors) to click on the corner and allow the page to flip automatically.

Check your file dimensions (width and height).
If you see in your source code that the .swf file is 300x600 ... set the width and height to 400x700 and view the page. This may help in some cases.

If you're still not able to get it... PM me (private message) and I'll take care of you.

Not working for me either using MSIE 7

I also am having a problem with the stock template provided in the package. The template pages turn correctly but if you go to the first or last page(s) they will NOT turn back into the book. You are stuck at (say) page one until you refresh the page
