Does anybody know why I would experience problems with the exported .swf file and folder after I edit the template in the Flash Ad creator and export the swf file and folder when I upload it to the server it returns to playing the demo ad that I started with instead of the edited version. It plays perfect on my desk top and any where I copy the file and folder to. But when I tranfer it to the server via FTP it looses the assets when the folder is right beside it.

It is driving me up a wall. can somebody give me some opinions?

Confirm you have the folders in the right hierarchy. This was a major problem at the beginning of the release for most users, including me. It took a bit to figure it out.

Send a link to how your folders look and I"ll compare.

Hey thanks for the reply. The .swf file and the assets folder are in the same folder which I created for tests on the server called CAF. So they would be just next to one another. How should they be?

    It should look like this...

    WebFolder(or whatever your file is)

Then in the webfolder should be the following

    -"Myad_Assetts (Own folder)
    -"Myad.html"
    -"Myad.swf"

If that doesn't work you need a script file that converts the "object" code to browse-safe. What html editor are you using?

You know I think I have it isolated. On my desktop, the swf file runs fine just with the swf and the assets folder. In the assets folder there is a data.txt file that when I delete it from the folder the exact same thing happens. I get the original template info again. So what I'm thinking is that when I move it to the server, and try to view it, it may be losing the data.txt string inside the assets folder for some reason.

See I'm not using the HTML page because I'm uploading the swf on presentationengine.com, a flash website program. So it needs to play right when I test it with the same scenario as my own desktop for it to work right. Do you think that my server may not be able to reference the data.txt file. It sure does simulate the problem when I delete it from the folder on the desktop.

Wow, i've been messing around with presentation engine for a while. I keep using their trial version. Have you had good success with it? What kind of business are you running with it?

As for the data file. I see it in the assets folder. I don't think that is your issue.
