Hello, new here to the software and learning it as I go.

I am having a hard time changing colors of things like buttons, spheres, etc... For instance if I want to change a red sphere to purple, I do the following steps :

    *Click on Colorize
*Click on the color I want it to be in the colored box.

But it never comes out correct. If I increase the Opacity then all the details get washed out.
Is there a work around? I do have Photoshop if it needs to be done in there. I just don't know how.
Kind of frustrated now after trying for several hours.

That color change can have different results...it is like adding paint on top of a painted wall.
Export the image you want out and use an image editor to guarantee your results.

You could try exporting your first results as a transparent png. then bring it back to the canvas and trying the same color again.

Gimp or Photoshop or a number of on-line 'free' editors can help with that. The TLC colorize option is mainly for items that have no color to begin with. You would use it to make a solid color.
