Do you speak another language other than English? If you do would you be so kind as to post what other language you speak.

Well, I'm not sure how this thread is getting votes and yet no replies. I'm not bilingual (some say I'm not even lingual, but that's another issue). I understand a handful of words in Spanish, German, and French, but the idiomatic parts of any of those can lose me quickly. On the other hand, I have a translator on board that can make a mess of almost any language.

Surely I'm not the only one willing to speak up. How about it ... MasterDesign? bbguigoz? Don't be shy ... jump in here!

I used to know a smattering of German from being stationed there when I was in the Army. But it has been several years since I've used it.

But I am very fluent in CB lingo and know quite a bit of sign language.

:Computer: Here in the Netherlands most people speak english as a second language, besides that we are next to germany so knowing german can come in handy as well. Being so central in western europe also has a lot of people speaking french italien and spanish.
    To answer the original question:
No not bilingual technically speaking this makes me trilingual(?)
(i'm also fluid in the most important language of all: the international language of love! :thanks:

Like any good Englishman I can communicate fluently in any language simply by following these easy rules:

1: Use the odd word I know of the given language that I have picked up from watching TV (dont use words picked up from dodgy films using foreign sat tv as you may end up being slapped round the face or even worse arrested :0 )

    2: Speak really slowly

    3: Raise my voice

4: Emphasis each word as if talking to a child

5: Wave my arms and make silly looking signs with my hands

6: End up with something/somewhere different from what I wanted

7: Blame the listener for not understanding my fluent language

8: Storm off with the words 'Bloody Foreigner' even tho it is me in a different country
