It was reported today on CNBC that software giant Adobe Systems is going to purchase Macromedia makers of Dreamveaver and other software products such as Director, Flash, Fireworks and Freehand.

They recently purchased Syntrillium Software makers of the popular Cool Edit pro. The deal is said to be worth 3.4 Billion dollars. You nowknow what this means!

    More over priced Software.

I think adobe and macromedia becoming is a good thing as well as a bad thing. Both companies have products that do similar functions in one shape or form. Its not like in there is a whole choice of manufacturers in that area of the market. Gives Adobe the power to stay at the top but also makes it unfair for consumers not having a choice.
