add ad using frontpage

    i need some quick help.. i created an ad... now how do i add it to my site? im using frontpage....

    got it!! but the only problem is......... the pics i added in the ad look grainy .... any suggestions???

    Looks good.

    The only thing I can think of for the pics is what size are they? The size you imported them into FAC can cause that. If they are to big and then FAC shrinks them down to fit.

    Just an idea.

    i made the pictures the same size of the default pics that came with the ad!

    OK, but did you keep the aspect ratio of the pics locked or did you just make them the same size as the ones in the template? If you didn't keep the ratio locked then it will distort the pics like what you have.

    the size of the banner is 290 x 340??? so if i make it any larger.. it's going to distort... correct?

    That is the size of the banner. But it needs to be the same size as the picture used in that banner. If the picture is larger there is a chance it can distort yes.

    You should be able to go here and see the sizes used by FAC.

    C:\Program Files\The Flash Ad Creator\images

    i resized my pictures with the same size of the default pics originally used by FAC.. but it's still grainy

    I am getting the same thing with one of my pics. I am trying to see if there is a way to fix it.

    If you create your images with the exact same dimensions and dpi as the default images they won't distort. Flash is just distorting them due to the width/height ratio the FAC uses, hence why they look wrong.

    Normally, I create images in another program first, or crop and resize them before using the FAC - then no required resize is done in the software.
