  1. Hi, easy enough to change. The reason for 2 boxes eludes me. Marc creates these templates and he may have just been on bad drugs! Kidding of course! I deleted 1 box and stretched the second a little to make it fit. No problems. As far as your color changes, that is easily done in The Creator. Below is the original card, and the modified card. Start by opening TC7 and selecting the Lady Gaga business card. Delete 1 of the black boxes by selecting it, and pressing your delete key. ( I'm using a Windows computer. If you are on a MAC your keys may be different. ) Select then position the other box how you want it. I changed the text color first, simply because I found it easier. Select the text you want to modify. You'll get the 'Text Menu' displayed on the left. Select 'Color'. You will have to do 2 things here. First, move the color slider to select 'black'. It will actually look gray. Then move the 'Text Opacity' slider to 100%. This will make your text black and it will blend in to the box and vanish. Don't worry about that. It's still there. Select the other white text and do the same. Then select the box by clicking on it somewhere other than where the text was. You'll see the 'Image Menu' on the left. Same as with the text. Select Color. Click on 'Colorize' and move the color picker to 'white'. Your box will look gray. Move the opacity slider to 100% and it will be white and your black text will be seen. The opacity slider can become annoying. If you select the text, or the box after moving the slider to 100%, it will go back to 50%. This is simply the default setting. You will have to go to the color menu for the text or box and move it back to 100% again. And there you have it. Your card should look like the one below. Of course, you will be changing the text to meet your needs.Good luck!

    Printing Business Cards

Sure. Avery has software, or at least they used to, that will let you print to their card stock, or simple paper. It may all be on-line now. You can check them out here. https://www.avery.com/products/cards/28878 Oh, and it's free! Or you can pay and they'll print it for you. Really, if you look at the cost of the card stock, it may not be worth it. Last I checked Vistaprint would print 500 cards for $9.99 Check around! Try this for the $9.99 discount code. It's PayPal Katie. I've run into this before too. You can use PayPal to make a single purchase, you just cannot have recurring (monthly) payments. Germany considers it a security issue. With PayPal, it's a process. I've never set it up on my website, but you are suppose to be able to do it. Marc will have to set this up. Probably will have to contact PayPal depending on how much he knows about the API settings. But it should be doable. Basically, for Germans, you buy a product 1 time. This generates a transaction ID. Then the website owner can generate a script to bill again at specific times, for a specific amount. It still will not trigger automatically. Once a month, or however often, the website owner will trigger Reference Transactions. The buyer then gets the bill and has to approve it. Then PayPal will process the bill. Setup is the key. Then the website owner simply has to trigger it manually once a month. It's an added hassle that most will not bother with unless they have enough buyers to make it worth the effort. Marc may choose to create a 'secret page' where a user can go and make a 1 time payment to maintain membership status. But he'll then have to monitor those users to insure payment each month. Also a hassle. Just no easy way around this except to use a payment option other than PayPal.

    Gif FILES

Had me going, but makes more sense now! Thanks for posting back.
  7. As Katie said, download and install The Creator on your new computer. After you install The Creator on your new computer, and insure it is running correctly. Simply backup your files on your old computer to a thumb drive, cloud drive or whatever method you want to use. Most of us preach about doing backups at least every week. Copy your /My Documents/Laughingbird Documents folder from your backup drive to your new computer. Migration done! It really is just that simple.

    copy write course

Usually with PLR and MMR packages like this, everything you have the 'rights' to is sold. Usually the original zip file. The mini sites can be used or not used by you, depending on what you want to do. As far as the .doc file not working ( not for me either ) I assume the original package is sold 'as-is'. The 'white label' gives you the right to claim and sell it, but not to edit the contents. I'm guessing. Marc may, or should, know better what rights he got when he bought it, but he may not. These things go round and sometimes people change things they shouldn't, sell rights they don't have, and we, the end user, usually get stuck with it. Personally, I try and stay away from stuff like this, as far as passing it on, and just get it if I want to use it myself. If you hear anything from Marc, please post back here and let us know. Thanks.

'White Label' rights gives you the right to 're-brand' the product as your own, and resell it. You cannot otherwise change the material in the package. Resell the entire package, all 12 modules, as you got them. The entire zip file. You resell for personal use. You cannot resell the 'White Label' rights. Users will purchase 'your product' and use it for themselves. Hope this helps.

    Unable to export picture

I had a windows update that caused problems a few days ago too. Not with TC7 but with other things. Two days later I got another windows update that seems to have fixed everything. Make sure you have all updates. If you are going to try and reinstall from scratch, please make a backup of any templates or graphics you have created. There is no uninstall for The Creator 7. Simply rename, or delete your Laughingbird Documents directory. To delete the program ( on a Windows machine ) go to c:/Program Files (x86) and delete the folder /The Creator 7. That's it. Before reinstalling I would log into your member page at http://laughingbirdsoftware.com/members and download the program and any template paks you have purchased. Save them somewhere on your computer other than where you saved them before. Do not reinstall from files you have already downloaded since you have had problems. Thousands of users use TC7 and there is no issue with the latest version. Make sure to install the program first. Then run it. Then close it out. Make sure it is closed when you install any add on paks you have downloaded. Then open and run it again. Let us know if this solves your problem. It is unusual that you get no error and yet the graphic does not export. I'm curious to see if this fixes things. Good luck.

help needed from support sent 4 days ago

If it doesn't have to do with money or your account, ask away. Lots of folks here to help!
  12. Glad you got it working. There have been problems before with Cloud storage. The program is set up to look in specific directories on your computer, not on a cloud drive. Users do keep trying this, and it never works out good.
  13. Okay. If your files are in the correct place, they should be where mine are in the first picture. If they are, then when you open TC7, look at the menu to the left and they should be displayed there! One other thing. Even if the eCover Templates folder is in the correct place in your Documents folder, make sure the template folders are actually in that folder! Sounds odd, but if the eCover Templates folder is empty, it will not show up in the menu on the left. As an added note, please make sure you are running the latest version of TC7. v7.2.9

    Output DPI

I have used vistaprint several times. Mostly business cards. Yes, they want 300 DPI. But, if you make your card big enough, then use a 3rd party program to change the resolution to 300 DPI, it works fine. At least for me. You have to remember. TC7 is not a full fledged graphics editing program. It was created to make 'web' graphics. 300 DPI is simply not required for that. As I said, it can do print, and do a fine job. It just takes a little work around.

    Output DPI

Actually, TC7 only outputs at 96 DPI. Not 300. Never has, probably never will. I'm not sure what the new on-line Graphics Creator will output. It may produce 300 DPI. I'm just not sure. TC7 was made to produce graphics for the web. Not print. Smaller graphics files make for faster load times on the net. There are ways to increase DPI but you will lose resolution. I'm sure you know you can only stretch things so far, before they break. You can make your graphic as large as you can ( 2880 x 2880 is the largest TC7 will export at ) and it will make for fine printing. Business cards, even t-shirts, no problem. But if your printer wants 300 DPI then you'll have to use a 3rd party program ( such as Photoscape, it's free ) to change the exported graphics DPI to 300. But as I said, you are simply stretching the image and resolution will suffer the higher you go.

    Templates Not Showing Up

You can try a re-install. Should just overwrite and not hurt anything. Leave 6.0 alone! Don't delete or remove. After 7.2.9 install you will have 2 icons. 1 for v6 and 1 for v7. Use either version. You also need to insure you have the latest version of Adobe Air installed. Let us know if a reinstall works for you.
  18. Glad it worked for you! Enjoy!
  19. If this does not work, there may be another program running on your computer that is interfering with TC7. Check for any running programs and disable if you can. Last resort, make sure you are off the internet. Then disable your anti-virus program and see if TC7 will run. You may also want to run a full virus scan, though I would find it amazing that TC7 would be the only program having problems. Your choice ...
  20. If you have solved this problem, please let us know. Also, what fixed it? Okay. You are on Windows. There are 2 versions, Windows and MAC on the download pages. Usually. Make sure you are downloading the correct version of the program, and the add ons. Sounds like something is corrupted. Remember, computers store data magnetically. Happens. This is a rather long procedure, but will hopefully get you going. Make sure TC7 is CLOSED. Then, make sure you have a copy of TC7, and your add on paks, backed up! ( some of us are really big on backing things up! ) Next, go to your /My Documents/Laughingbird Documents folder. Make sure there are 2 folders ( there may be more but these need to be there! ) ../Logo Elements and ../Logo Libraries Check in those directories for any subdirectories that do not look right. ( ie. strange and unusual names or characters in names. Shows corruption! ) If everything looks good, then Go to C:\Program Files (x86) and DELETE the directory /The Creator 7 After making sure that you have downloaded the correct version of The Creator, simply re-install and hopefully all will be well. If not, go back to your Laughingbird Documents directory. BACKUP your ../Logo Libraries/My Templates folder to a safe location or another drive. BACKUP any other saved templates you have made. DELETE the Laughingbird Documents folder completely. Re-install TC7. ( if you previously deleted TC7 and re-installed, you don't have to do it again. It should overwrite what's there, and create the directories you need.) If you are using the FREE version of TC7, make sure to download and install the FREE templates! After installing TC7, check for /My Documents/Laughingbird Documents/Logo Elements and /My Documents/Laughingbird Documents/Logo Libraries Open TC7 and make sure the program runs. Close the program. Re-install 1 of your add on paks. Open TC7 and see if everything is working. Close the program. Continue adding and testing after each pak. Make sure to CLOSE TC7 before installing a new add on. Let us know how it goes.

    Re: Problem

If you are saying that you added the logo to your library, and can see it in the directory on your computer, but not in TC7 ... then check and make sure that the file extension is lower case ( ie.. .png and not .PNG ) That does make a difference! Other than that. You can use File/Import png or jpg to add the logo to your canvas. It does not have to come from a built in library. Let me know if that helps, or if you need more information.

    Hello Everyone!

Welcome! Any questions be sure to ask! If you look around the forum there are some pretty nifty FREE graphics to be had. Several users have uploaded freebies so be sure and check them all out!
  25. Here is my take on things. First, are you a Windows or MAC user? If you are on a MAC, well, best do as Katie says! If you are a Windows user ... Your files are located at c:\Program Files (x86) Refer to Fig. 1 I did not uninstall/delete anything in reality. I simply renamed the directories so that the files would not be accessed. Works fine. However, you can delete if you want to. ( After you make an archive backup of the directories! ) Simply delete ( DO NOT uninstall! ) the directories you no longer want. Your templates and graphics are stored in your \My Documents\Laughingbird Documents\ directory and should remain there. If you have made a backup, and things do not work out for whatever reason, simply restore your directory from the backup. Thumb drives are cheap these days, please make a backup! Fig 1: Fig 2:
