  1. Hi Everyone, I always forget to visit these forums... I have been a subscriber for several years, went away from it, and came back. I am not very artistically inclined, but playing around with The Creator soothes me, much in the way a crayon book will. Brings my anxiety down when I feel it. Some people take smoke breaks, I take creator breaks I use creator in Wine on Fedora. Works like a champ. I also use gimp (1) as my graphics application. If you don't want to pay for photoshop, but still want something powerful, give it a look. Fully opensource and a really great community. (1) https://www.gimp.org/ Thanks! Jim
  2. Love me some duck!
  3. Hi everyone! I have been playing off and on with TC7 for a few year. Marc was gracious enough to let me get my subscription back after a couple of years (I suspect he knew I wound be buyng add on pacs ;0) I have no artistic talent to speak of ,this software is like one big coloring book to me When my anxiety starts getting the best of me, I just fire it up git 'r dun, Some of them come out ok,most not. hmmm what else; I am 52 year old "GET OFF MY LAWN YOU DAMM KIDS' kind of guy . I work for a very large software company. Speaking of which, that software is in pubic beta now, so the updates will be sparse for the next little bit. I'm a Unix (Linux) user ...and The Creator really only works with Mac and Windows BUT I use a simulator called WINE for Linux to run The Creator. As of right now the following works just fine; [jim@fred ~]$ cat /etc/redhat-release Fedora release 25 (Twenty Five) [jim@fred ~]$ uname -r 4.11.3-202.fc25.x86_64 [jim@fred ~]$ wine --version wine-2.10 (Staging) If anyone has any linux questions, or anything at all ask away Oh, and please, I do this for fun and construction criticism is always welcome. The only thing I ask is to explain the *how* you arrived at a certain suggestion, It all you do is say do x, than y, I won't lean anything. I do realized our time is valuable and respect any you can give me. All that being said, I do have one pro-tip. Lets assume you just became a plat member at sadduck.com Ifs vert easy to be overwhelmed with content . If you are following the standard directory structure and want to place them all in /home/jim/Documents/Laughingbird Documents/Logo Elements *note* the structure will be a bit different, the important part is the zips going into "Logo Elements" Real easy at this point to "$ unzip *.zip" and we will end up with big mess. Mainly. all the content will be in Logo Elements stuff that used wok had gone on strike and basic structure means nohing to you, then carry on If you would prefer a more organized existence, then follow along. I use chome, don;t care what you preference i. Hell, give Lynx a try. Now this is both really important and really annoying... You can only download a couple a time. And there are lots of them. For the purposes of this demo, I am going to oo wth 3. So, off we go to to the fabled land,,, http://sadduck.com/pmembers.php We grab 3 file from there: Now, here is the fun part, We can do it with 3 or 50 Just simple substituiton. All you need is the file name and what you want the resulting directory to be name. So for our purposes, the files are: [jim@fred Logo Elements]$ ls -ltr total 176352 -rw-rw-r--. 1 jim jim 17805945 Jun 22 07:27 'USA rwb 3D text jct.zip' -rw-rw-r--. 1 jim jim 1616275 Jun 22 07:36 Dalek.zip -rw-rw-r--. 1 jim jim 26543721 Jun 22 07:36 AlienBot.zip -rw-rw-r--. 1 jim jim 134589139 Jun 22 07:36 4thJuly2016.zip So, we take the first one.... [jim@fred Logo Elements]$ unzip 'USA rwb 3D text jct.zip' -d usa and there you go: [jim@fred Logo Elements]$ tree . ├── 4thJuly2016.zip ├── AlienBot.zip ├── Dalek.zip ├── usa │ └── USA\ rwb\ 3D\ text\ jct │ ├── 0.png │ ├── 1.png │ ├── 2.png │ ├── 3.png │ ├── 4.png │ ├── 5.png │ ├── 6.png │ ├── 7.png │ ├── 8.png │ ├── 9.png │ ├── a1.png │ ├── a2.png │ ├── +as.png │ ├── +at.png │ ├── b1.png │ ├── b2.png │ ├── c1.png │ ├── c2.png │ ├── +cm.png │ ├── +co.png │ ├── +cp.png │ ├── d1.png │ ├── d2.png │ ├── +dm.png │ ├── +ds.png │ ├── e1.png │ ├── e2.png │ ├── +em.png │ ├── +eq.png │ ├── f1.png │ ├── f2.png │ ├── +fs.png │ ├── g1.png │ ├── g2.png │ ├── h1.png │ ├── h2.png │ ├── +hq.png │ ├── +ht.png │ ├── i1.png │ ├── i2.png │ ├── j1.png │ ├── j2.png │ ├── k1.png │ ├── k2.png │ ├── l1.png │ ├── l2.png │ ├── m1.png │ ├── m2.png │ ├── n1.png │ ├── n2.png │ ├── o1.png │ ├── o2.png │ ├── +op.png │ ├── p1.png │ ├── p2.png │ ├── +pe.png │ ├── +pl.png │ ├── +pm.png │ ├── q1.png │ ├── q2.png │ ├── +qm.png │ ├── +qu.png │ ├── r1.png │ ├── r2.png │ ├── s1.png │ ├── s2.png │ ├── +sc.png │ ├── +st.png │ ├── t1.png │ ├── t2.png │ ├── u1.png │ ├── u2.png │ ├── +us.png │ ├── v1.png │ ├── v2.png │ ├── w1.png │ ├── w2.png │ ├── x1.png │ ├── x2.png │ ├── y1.png │ ├── y2.png │ ├── Your\ graphics\ license.txt │ ├── z1.png │ └── z2.png └── USA\ rwb\ 3D\ text\ jct.zip 2 directories, 88 files
