The black boxes in the templates are nothing more than black box shapes to show you where your videos should go--- they do not contain placeholders. You need a video editor that can handle "composting" or layering. You get that message, which is really an error message in this case, when you try to drag and drop and image onto a selected element which is not text. You may find it easier to just delete the black boxes.

I think I found the solution. I seledt a template from the first part of the templates. I modify this template with my images and save it as png file. Then I select a template from the second part and insert the saved png file. Works quite wenn. Heinz

What Katie said is the easiest way. Business Card templates are just like any other template from Laughingbird. Just 'import' whatever image you want to use. They are just sized different to account for printing. Below is an image of my business card, front and back. I had these printed at VistaPrint and got 250 cards for $10. Free shipping. Prices vary and they do run sales. Check for any current specials. On my card you'll note, I did print front and back. Just to show off a couple of images but note the QR square. If you scan that with a reader ( that is on most phones ) it takes you direct to my web store. They are free to create and you can choose where to send someone. Website, blog, wherever. https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com Let us know if you have any more questions.

Talking about a surprise, discovering my Laughingbird software not working made me look at everything but the software. A hick-up like this took 3 years of faithful service to happen. Marc, great work.

Thank You all for the replies, and sorry for such late response, what I did was save the work I created and then opened it up in a new template and resized it and added other elements. Worked great and got the effects I needed. I have made three attempts to contact Marc, and have gotten nothing in the forum of a response not sure but needed some information. In the end had to figure it out on my own, any way again thank you both for your responses. 11/13/2018 6:15 PM CST.

I thought you were trying to download the Animated Presentation graphics. What videos are you talking about? If you are trying to download the Animated Presentation graphics, then go to the download page and you'll see the Download Now buttons. Right - Click on a button and select 'Copy Link Address'. Go into your download manager and Right Click and select 'Paste'. That should get the job done. Let me know if you still need help.

I've actually never encountered that problem. Once I start moving an image, that's the image that moves. Interesting . . .

There has been a new way to get to your purchase links. Now it is set up through the "members" portal. Sounds to me that you haven't setup an account so you will have to request one through Support. Give your sales info and provide a receipt to speed up the search. Is there a place where product enhancement requests can be made? I searched and didn't find anything, so apologies if the is the wrong area. Is there a way to lock down sections? For example, you place 3 objects for a background. Now we now want to place test on top of the background and be able to 'lock' the background so it says where it needs to be. I know one could export the background and then import back in... but that is a lot of steps. thanks for reading :>) Mike

You could also use any screen grabber programs you have. Or "Print Screen" as an option.

I like to do a project and export the image...then rework and export that image ...then I compare them. An image file can't be changed but once saved as a template you can always edit it. The beauty there is the image can then used as part of the permanent template.

Because I live in a rural area with S-L-O-W internet I would make the option to use 3rd party software. Look for an FREE online application. Here is some information you may find useful.https://www.topsoftreviews.net/resize-youtube-videos/. From what I am seeing that looks to change the size from a pre-existing template size to another size all together....not just a resizing of an existing project.

Okay, in a nutshell. The OLD eCover product had 50 eCover templates and 64 3D mockups The NEW eCover product has 75 eCover templates and 85 3D mockups. PLUS with the NEW eCover product, you have the ability to adjust the size of the drop area. You have the ability to create a drop area from scratch and match it to any mockup you have! This is huge! Both products have the same elements.

What Katie said. The 'software', The Creator 7, is a FREE update and as far as I know, always will be. Templates and element sets are sold as individual sets and are added to the 'software' after installation. Although, keep your eyes open, Marc has been known to give away free graphics from time to time! You may have to answer a survey, or simply be on line at the right time, but it has happened! Several options here. If you want to stick to the desktop only version, there is a monthly club ( subscription) you can join that will save you money on the purchase of additional template sets. Or you can join the Web Graphics Creator, on line only version, and have instant access to everything. That is a monthly subscription too. Or you can continue to simply buy the graphics packs that you want. As Katie mentioned, the NEW eCover Authoring Package is well worth the investment. Not only are there more templates, they are better templates and you will then have the ability to add your own 'mock ups' to TC7 and 'map out' a drop zone on them thereby creating your own eCover template. It's really pretty cool! Let us know if you need more information. Oh, one more quick note. The only 'Staff' at Laughingbird is Marc, Lisa and Dave. Everyone else, including the mods and admins here on the forum are simply users of the software same as you. We help out when we can, but really, Marc and Lisa have the final say.

Hi Fabi, The Creator 7 was made to produce web graphics, not printed products. That said, you can create an image big enough to print well. Many users here have created T-shirts and other products. The image below was created at 2880 x 2880. It is only 762KB at 72 DPI. It will upload to Vistaprint and looks just fine on a T-shirt. Depending on which service you are using for printed products, you may have to adjust the DPI to 300. You can use a number of 3rd party utilities to do that. I use xnView on a PC. It is a free utility. At 300 DPI the image below is 7.2MB in size. Just remember, increasing the DPI does not increase resolution. The only way to do that would be to use a vector image and The Creator does not support vector images. So, make your graphic as large as you can, up to 2880 x 2880 ( max size that TC7 will export ) and try it out.
