I recently purchased Logo Creator and the Business Card Add-On and I think that I have found one of the best deals on software yet! One issue I have noticed though it that when I try to print my own business cards via the Avery site you mentioned in your video, the quality of the image drops considerably once the image is uploaded to their site and the resulting printout is fuzzy. Is there a way to increase the quality of the uploaded image?

Hey Marc,
I’d love to be able to create videos (similar to the Logo Creator one on your website) for my customers that want to place their business advertisements on the monitors at my locations . Can I do that with your software? If so, which one do I need? I’d like to be able to export the finished product in .avi, .mpg, .mp4, etc. so I can just save and drop into a media player playlist along with the current ads I’m running.
Thanks alot!

So when is laughingbird going to get with the times and allow purchases using “paypal” or even “VISA-debit”?
In the past i’ve used a prepaid or re-loadable card but i’m not using it any longer, paypal or debit works almost everywhere else. I’d like to get the business card add on but can’t !!

I am using a 27″ 2010 i mac running mac os 10.8.6 and i can import a business card created in The Log Creator 6.6 into Version 2 of The Business Card creator, use all the print options of TBCC V2 and print my own cards on my printer.

I just started the new logo update and was creating an image for a new ebook, but one feature I didn’t see, like where text is, there was something where you would go to edit and click on duplicate image, so it would duplicate the font and style that you had selected…
I don’t see that anymore, was that done away with?

Hi Carlos.
… it’s still there. Look under the “Edit” menu.
Choose “Paste Selected Element”
This will copy what you’ve selected, and paste it again onto the canvas with all of your formatting

I’ve been using Avery (and other pre-perforated card stock) for years. Now I use it for people who don’t need 500 or 1000 cards from my wholesale printer, which is more expensive but gives you a better quality card. So I do agree with Regina’s comments.
I had to get Logo and AdMaker this weekend and the Business Card program came with it… Oddly enough when I added my PhotoObjects file to the AdMaker elements… they’re taking a long time to load and have even frozen the program several times. I’ll keep experimenting.

Yes, Regina’s link was awesome.
SO, I made a video on using the Avery website.
(you can see the link above this post)
As for your Photo Objects comment, … are you adding the large 300dpi images, or the smaller 72dpi images to the Elements folder?

Hey Mark – does this do the ACEO sized artist trading cards? Or can I modify the size to create them?
Thanks

Hi Katie.
… honestly not sure what an ACEO sized artist card is.
BUT, whatever size you need, you can easily set the canvas size to match… and then export the final image to your desktop and use it with ACEO

For all of you asking about printing your own cards…go to http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Templates-%26-Software and download their program for windows that interfaces with Microsoft Office or use their print wizard. This allows you to easily set up a print template for their labels and card stock for the do it yourself-er. Also, Publisher has a great template for business cards. It aligns perfectly with Avery or other brands of pre perforated card stock sheets.

hmmmm!… hey Regina!
This is a great post! I’m going to check into this and try it myself. If it works cleanly, I’ll post this on my FAQ page.
Thanks for the link to this.

Your welcome Marc. Just an FYI…It depends on the type of printer you have as to weather it will print exact or not. When designing the card, use a 1080 x 638 canvas and give at least a 1/4 inch bleed. Some printers will pint to the card stock perfectly and others, if the card is pulled and flipped to print, will drop the print down about a 1/16th to 1/8th inch and may run off the edges. I’ve also found that rather than print from the file, turn the set up into a pdf and print from the pdf. For some reason that sees to correct some of those home print issues.
By the way, when you get the chance, check out my new web site. Everything was created in the Web Graphics creator and the new Logo Creator including the background images. Man I love that Program!

Hey Ernie … Thanks for the compliment! I love it too.
I’ve been using Marc’s software since 2005 when I bought the Logo Creator. The he came out with the Web Graphics Creator and between the two, you can do some awesome things. If I need something more advanced, I make my edits in Gimp or Photoshop but take it right back into WGC and finish the job. I’ve used a lot of software over the years but find a lot of stuff has such a learning curve to it or just no matter what is NOT user friendly. Marc’s stuff is. Time is money in the graphics business too so anything that makes my job easier AND gives me the quality results I’m after is absolutely positively at the top of my list of have to haves. Besides, I’ve NEVER known a company to give the kind of support Marc does. He’s awesome.
Thanks again Ernie … by the way, there’s a graphic on the bottom of each page that tells you the company that did the design … that’s me. You can go there too and see other sites.
