1. New Software Notice alert!

The new Web Graphics Creator (version 4.0) will be out soon.

For now, version 3.0 is still active and works great on most Windows machines. It no longer runs on Macs using Lion or greater... (but the new version will fix this)

So hang in there! It's almost done!

    Hi,

I am really new to this forum and web design, I am creating a site in Dreamweaver CS3 and would like to use some of the flash buttons in Web Graphics Creator. I read I need to convert them from swf to gif and have a program to do that, but it says its only a 1 frame file, and the conversion doesnt include the flash animation.
Can anyone tell me the correct way to do this please. Or point me in the right direction to a thread that covers this, I have looked but dont seem to find anything.
Sorry if this is a basic questions.

    Thx

Sounds as if the program that you have for converting swf is not capable of handling multiple frames and you need something that would not only convert but support multiple frames ... which would in most probability support animation also.

Might want to look at something like this:
    Download for XP sp 2:

You should be able to use the button you created in your document without converting it to an animated gif if you specified the URL that the button should take you to.

In Dreamweaver select Insert=>Media=>Flash then select the swf button you want inserted and it should be placed in your webpage.

Hit F12 to view it in your browser, it will prompt you to save it first. If you need to resize it, click on the flash object/button placeholder on your page and you can change the height/width. Be sure to try to be proportional when you change the dimensions IE 160 X 50 make it 80 X 25 for half the size or 120 X 38 to make it 75% of the original size.

Dreamweaver will normally prompt you about adding some javascript in order to display the flash file correctly in most browsers. If you chose no for that, it's not going to display. If it's there, see if there is anything in the following thread that will help you out.

    http://www.logodesignforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6731&highlight=flipbook

It's hard to troubleshoot without it being uploaded to a website where we can see it in action (or lack of).

    2 images in flipbook creator

    Hi

I think I am getting somewhere, but can you tell me why I have two images side by side but part of the photos have been cropped off when I preview my flipbook. I have placed all the photos to go into the flipbook in the Large box. But when published I get correct size but 2 images side by side as incomplete pictures.

    Thx

Got a link to the site where the flipbook is uploaded? That will aid greatly in finding any problems.
