I can't figure out what the pause does or how to work it. I need a way to slow things down to make them usable is this the right thing to use?

    Hi Jeff.

The Pause feature is used to pause an area of the animation a little longer. If you have, for example, a picture of your product or a 'billboard' (an image with alot of text), you may want the animation to stop on this image.

Type in the number of seconds you want the image to display for. In the final movie (.swf file), the animation will pause on your image.

    Still having problems

I can't seem to get the pauses to show up. When I stop on a pace on the ad it doesn't show up in the preview. Can I stop anywhere on the ad, can I stop more than once- they all seem to run too fast and I would like to set a very long pause or better yet stop at the end of the ad. What am I doing wrong.

    Thanks for your help

I would think that if I place the curser in one of the lines in the ad and then press pause that it would work, well it does work but not all that well. NEEDS WORK!
I should be able to click on the line insert the pause time and it should work perfect. both in front of the text or picture in the input line and at the end of the line also, so that I could have a pause befor and after the display.

    Thanks Guys

I find the pause frustrating as well.
Tried all the above with the same results.

I just quickly did a flash ad to check the pause and it works ok for me. I think what you may not be getting right is applying the pause, watch the preview screen and when it gets to the part you want to pause click the pause button and enter the time. See the result on the link below.

    Doc you are right BUT!

When one tries to put a pause in at a certain spot it is very hard to do. Try some different spots and you will see what I mean. It would be nice to be able to put the pause in at the time of creation not running the ad and stopping at hopfuly at the persice spot that you want, try to pause between words.

    Thanks

If you send me a PM, specifying which template you want slowed down, along with where you want a stop or pause - I'll modify the template for you.

    Reply: Not productive...

I have no real problem with the pause; I just see a problem that you should fix in the program it would benefit your customer base.

Lesson: Why does one buy clothes?
    Why does one eat food?
Why does one do 99% of what they do?

    Answer: BENIFITS

What you should learn from this:
People spend money more easily when it benefits them.

Features: Bells and whistles that the producer wants to give you to try to make a sale. Accounts for only 10 to 15% of potential sales.

Who the heck is this guy? Just a business man that has been in the marketing business for more than 40 years. Now retired.

I hope you have learned something here.

By making small tweaks to your products that benefit your customer will certainly increase your sales. I am hesitant in buying other software from you just for the fact that the one that I did buy has some small minor bugs and you do not seem to want to fix them and release a bug free product, but I would like to say you did encourage me to start learning Flash. Thank You

I have a few software products that are updated with fixes every couple of month as people find little clutches and I do buy other products from them because I know that this company will improve the product as their customer find little problems.

Please do not take this as a negitive feed back.

    Thank You

Genn2 I think you have got things a little confused here. Syrus XL who kindly offered to help you with the pause issue is a user of the software not the owner.

    Thank You

Thank you for pointing that out to me, but the reply was in part to him but mostly to the makers of the software or do they read this stuff.

    Thank You

Actually, alot of people get it. It does work as designed.

What you are wanting to do would be an enhancement to the program. Thank you for that suggestion.

Hello - so I'm clicking in the row with the text in it and then clicking pause and setting the time, it still seems like its on crack. Am I missing something? Actually I must be since this post says it works...any advice appreciated - thanks!

    I agree.
I only bought the software yesterday and the first thing I thought was .... wayhay these things are way too fast ...

So I tried the PAUSE thing and, as everyone else seems to be saying, it has little effect. Some ads do pause, some don't. Some pause in the right places, some don't.
Basically, the speed of the ads makes it uselss to me right now.
I want to spice up my web site but want to give visitors chance to read the flashy content.
