Here's my first logo using TLC. I have really enjoyed this software. In the past I've always worked in Microsoft Publisher to create publications, etc. Someone asked me if I could create a logo for an event. Publisher is limited and well, one thing led to another, I bought TLC and now I've started freelancing. Thanks!!!
Thank you for the feedback. I was hoping to hear from some of you professionals. With the exception of the icons, the tools in TLC were used. I used the oval from the logo templates. It was perfect because it already had the sunburst. I only changed the color scheme and kept the gradient the same. The highlights (shadows) are only available for text and are found in the text menu section. The shadows around the oval were already there and cannot be modified. The text toggle shadowing is great because the shadows can be manipulated using the horizontal and vertical sliding bars located at the bottom of the text menu box. I really love this software. I wish I had more logos to show. This is the only "created from scratch" one so far. I upgraded to v361 in order to get the bonus logos and it says I need an unlock key. I purchased my software from Office Depot and didn't find any key. I assume I just need to reload my software. Once I do that I'll be back in business. Thanks again for the comments.
It is possible to make shadows for for objects that normally dont have one in TLC First make a duplicate image and then colorize it black, slightly resize it smaller, and then play with the opacity til ya like it and position it to suit your light angle needs like this.
I guess that wasnt the best example I could have shown cuz u can add a shadow from tlc if ya like but you get the idea what I mean anything can be given a shadow or even double shadows or more like this if ya like.
Awesome Shadow example Hey Gravy! Awesome tutorial on making a shadow!! Thanks so much for this - I'm going to put that one up onto my new tutorials page! Very nice. Hey, check on a PM from me when you get a chance. - Marc
