1. New Software Notice alert!

The new Web Graphics Creator (version 4.0) will be out soon.

For now, version 3.0 is still active and works great on most Windows machines. It no longer runs on Macs using Lion or greater... (but the new version will fix this)

So hang in there! It's almost done!

When I incorporate a graphic into text, and then create a mirror of the text, the graphic can't be seen in the mirror image... only the text shape is projected.

Why doesn't the graphic image come along with the text into the mirror image?

    Thanks.

Hi Stickyfinger -- just want to make sure I understand completely. Is this when you are inserting a graphic into the text, like when coloring text? I'll have to try this one. I've never done this.

One reason is the program only sees the actual text and not the added graphic...What you can do is duplicate the main image then flip it over and opaque it to the desired look and it will be the way you like it then...Need help let me know and I'll show you an example.

Yes, after I incorporate an image into the text and then mirror the text, only the text is mirrored, not the image I placed in the text.

    Thanks for responding.

    Thanks for responding...

The reason I ask stems from an earlier question about forming a gradient between a color and a graphic. I thought, well, lets incorporate a graphic into text, say a large capital letter "I", fill the letter with a graphic, use the mirror function (which by it's nature can be used to create a gradient), then "ungroup" or "unlock" all the components, then get rid of the original text, use only the gradient-mirror image, flip it over right-side up, and... abracadabra... there's the gradient I need to merge into a color, or even another graphic.

I know this is a lot, but I think it will work.

I'll keep working on it. If any of you succeed, let me know

The only way I saw to get rid of the original text was to opaque it and when you do that...The image went away too...So that didnt work for me.
