1. New Software Notice alert!

The new Web Graphics Creator (version 4.0) will be out soon.

For now, version 3.0 is still active and works great on most Windows machines. It no longer runs on Macs using Lion or greater... (but the new version will fix this)

So hang in there! It's almost done!

I thought i fixed my problem but its back.

Director player error when trying to upload single image and sometimes swf file. Script error. Tried on both FireFox and Explorer. It was working on Explorer for about 5 tries then the error came back.

    I need help or guidance.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

Ryan, was this a fresh install?
Or did you install into the same 'problem folder' ?

    Anybody else having this issue?

Ryan, try installing WGC into a NEW folder. The default install-to name will be "The Web Graphics Creator v3" ... change the folder's name to something like: "Web Graphics Creator NEW"

See if a completly fresh install into a completely new folder takes care of your issues. It sounds as if you're not getting all of the "Xtras" folder installed correctly (your error messages are telling me this).

    Let me know!

    - Marc

Was this ever resolved???????? I am getting the same message?

I am getting an error "Diretor Player Error" It says "Object Expected" then it says Script Error Continue? and it gives me the option for yes or no. This happens when I clear all images and and click on "Add an image." It doesn't do it with any of the other buttons and just started doing this. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, shut down and restarted my computer.

    What is going on?

Sometimes it is user error. I tried Laughingbird's suggestion and it worked. Maybe we all need to be a little patient and try to learn how to operate the program.

    Help with the program

Do you need some help getting it working? I have some free time now... It was initially quite frustrating and it all came down to how i was entering file names... Plus the patch helped.

Let me know, I'll be around for a bit.

    Ryan.

    Yeah Right

C,mon.., what is this your job...
I've been patient, since 10/27. I even walked over to the MAC store and they couldn't get FLIPBOOK to work. And we tried for hours. Not User Error This Time.

This is bottom of the barrel software. And who ever is in charge of selling it, I guess LaughinBird, are a bunch of chumps, for not responding to any of the number of emails I've sent.

Just because they don't won't to REFUND a lousy $40. That's just BAD BUSINESS FROM, OBVIOUSLY A **** COMPANY!!!

LOL! Forgive me for laughing. You sound just like me on the 2nd or 3rd day I owned the software. I think they deleted my post on that very subject. I tried and tried and to get through on the phone and no avail; I then sent a PM to Mark and within 2 days I received a reply. I see your issue is MAC related, and I have no clue about MAC directory locations.

What's your experience level with the design and web coding? As for the refund, I can't imagine them not refunding you the money if your really not able to get it working... Way too many members for that to be the case...

Would you like me to reach out to them on your behalf? Or, are you just done with it?

    Ryan.

    Thanks...

Thanks Ryan, I appreciate the offer.
Yeah, I can't imagine they wouldn't return my "$39.95", either.
But, I haven't gotten a response from anybody in over a week, at least.

Karmas' a B*TCH!!! When Marc Sylvester gets a smack one day and wonders why.., Now He Knows.

    Thanks Again

Alright. I've sent a message on your behalf. Let's see what kind of response we get... By the way, what trouble were you having? Was it the same as mine initially?

    Hi Ryan.
    Thanks for the PM.

    Boy mackat.
    why so hostile?

I'll gladly give you your money back.
Please forward me your order number (please PM it to me. Don't write it in an open forum).

    And calm down.
Nobody is out to rip you off. This is the first I've heard of your frustrations. You mention 'numerous eMails' ... I don't have any from you previous to what I see above.

BSK, a little more information might be VERY helpful in finding the correct solution for your issue/s. What is your OS platform? Error in what module of the WGC? What were you trying to do and when did you see the error?

Also, if you uploaded it to your website, a link would help out a lot.

    KD-did,
    Thanks for the response!
    OS: XP Media Center Edition
PC: Intel Centrino Duo (1.66 GHz, 667 MHZ FSB, "MB L2 cache), 1GB ram
    Problematic WGC module: Flipbook
Problem: 'Script error' initially occurred while trying to add a single image; reinstalled WGC and the 'add image' worked fine for a while before all options failing again. On 1st use of the Flipbook module, there was a cxtra.net message which vanished when i next used the Flipbook module. The Art Center and button creator modules seem to be working fine.
P'se let me know if u need more info.
    Thanks

How recently did you download WGC . Has there been a cold reboot since you downloaded and installed WGC?

WGC downloaded on 23rd/24th August 2008. Yes, a couple of coold reboots with first installation. However, not yet with the reinstallation. Btw, at the moment the 'add image' won't do a thing- not even report a 'script error' when i try it! Thanks
