1. New Software Notice alert!

The new Web Graphics Creator (version 4.0) will be out soon.

For now, version 3.0 is still active and works great on most Windows machines. It no longer runs on Macs using Lion or greater... (but the new version will fix this)

So hang in there! It's almost done!

    Hi Marc,

Ok I found a bug in the eCover Creator!

Select Software Box 1 then load a left side it is placed on the right side of the box it should go on the left side.

All the others are fine except for the AHHHHHHHHH! just checked in the selection list there are 2 software box 1...

The second one does not hold the sides selected you have to re-select them.

    Enjoy

Unless I'm missing something, I may have found another bug...
(Yeah, I broke down and bought it :))

I have Windows 2000 Pro ... my taskbar is set to stay - NOT hide...

When I'm in the eCover creator and do the photo rendering

it makes me lose my taskbar, and there's *NO* way I could find to get out short of ctrl/alt/del. Is there a way I am missing or is this actually a bug? I would have thought it *SHOULDN'T* Hide my taskbar.

Off course you pressed the "windows key" to bring up the start menu and taskbars, so i'm not even going to suggest that instead i've got a question; what's your screen resolution?

    Hi,

From the eCover Cretor Photo-realistic Module just click on the above Main Menu then File / Exit! It is greyed out but it still works...

    Nope, still doesn't work.

Hey MasterDesign - lol - yeah, tried the windows button. I can't click on anything long enough - i.e., when I click the windows button, of course start comes up, but if I attempt to use one of the other programs, even for a moment, the ecover creator pops back in place.

I can't even right click to close it from the taskbar this way.

I'm using <gasp> 800x600 resolution because I design sites with that. (And that's the best for my monitor).

Homebiz - I dont' *see* any possible menu link to even access.

I couldn't upload a bmp here because it wouldn't accept even an 88k one, so I put it on my site in a temp folder - http://www.dime-co.com/test/ecoverscreen.bmp. (Its 1.35 mg full size LOL - hope your access is DSL).

But that's a screenshot of exactly what I see when that part is open.

Marc - why not create the background like the logo creator, so that you can minimize/maximize when you need to ? :D

    Hi DimeCo.
I'm working on finishing up the update today (Thursday Aug 4th).
I should have it uploaded by (my) day's end. I'm in Southern California.

I'll have this 800x600 deal fixed.
I've also modified the Photorealistic "canvas" so you can resize it now.

    And a few other things.

    Keep an eye out!
I'll also post this update (version 2.2) on the eCoverCreator.com website.

    Hi dimeco,

That is strange, because on that screen I have the full Main Menu bar on top.

Are you on a Mac or Windows?

    Another eCover Bug

    Hi Marc,

Ok here is another bug that I have found in the Photo-realistic Module!

When adding the spine or side in the Photo-realistic Module they are showing up wrong.

If you select any Spine or Side from the Spine & Sides Sub-Directory they are showing up on the box as horizontal not vertical!

Also we still have the bug mentioned above were the left side is being placed on the right side of the box.

    Enjoy

Hi Marc - is it posted or not ready yet? (Not rushing lol - just don't want to miss it).

I suppose I could just uninstall the software and reinstall it on my laptop - which uses the wider res, just a pain cuz then I'd have to transfer the graphics back to my PC.

    <sigh> It's definitely Monday LOL

Hi Marc - sorry, but I got an error :(

    :help2a:

During the install of the update, it said:

CRC checking failed. 'PrintOMatic MX.x32' was not copied correctly.

I hit "ignore" (rather than abort), then at the end it said it didn't all install correctly and may not work :helpnow:

I use Windows 2000 Pro. (I don't have fireworks installed right now... do I have to put it back on my PC)?

You don't need to have fireworks on your computer at all. Uninstall and try a fresh download.

    :((

    Is it me? Seriously? LOL

    I uninstalled the previous version(s).

Started to install this one from the link you gave me Marc.

This is what I got when I started the setup:
    http://www.dime-co.com/test/ecoversetup.bmp

Help? What do I do? I aborted it for now.

    Yes! :)
This is exactly what you should get.

You're running in a lower screen resolution - and the installer is letting you know that the eCover Creator may not run at peak performance.

You can click 'Next' to continue (it won't hurt to continue!), or quit the installer - set your monitor to a higher resolution (which will fix all of your issues) and re-run the installer.

Let me know if you need help setting your monitor rez.

Hi Marc - Thanks, I know how to do my resolution changes ;)
This kinda defeats my purpose. That's why I said I couldn't see the menu in the 800x600 - I design websites in 800x600 which is why I don't change my res to higher. (my laptop is set at the 1024 resolution, but I usually only use it for travel).

However - since I "did" buy the laptop with enough power to handle the graphics stuff I do... I suppose I should just install this piece of software on the laptop. It'll be a pain - I'll have to swap files back and forth, but I'll manage.

So... I'll shut up so you can get the ad creator out. Will *IT* work in 800x600? :))

    Amber
